GUEST POST: Are you a FAST leader?

Are You A F.A.S.T Leader?
“Too many leaders are like travel agents. They are sending people to places they’ve never been” – John C. Maxwell

The mechanism of the entire universe cannot be complete without leadership. It is applicable in
virtually all jurisdictions; Schools, organisations, family, etc. On a lighter mood, even the animal
kingdom has a form of hierarchy.
At creation, God gave man the commandment to rule and dominate. This shows that there is an innate character of leadership in every man that needs to be harnessed.
When it comes to leadership, John Maxwell is a really an authority and I follow him hard. I have
learnt a lot from Him and still learning.

Where your heart is ...

Hey loves, how have you guys been? I'm sorry I've been AWOL, I had my issues to sort out but that's a story for another day.

So, I didn't start doing anything (chores and all) today until about 5pm (thank God mum travelled, otherwise I for cry) because I was reading a book. I woke up, checked my twitter and somewhere on my TL someone mentioned the book 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, I then remembered that a friend of mine told me one time to go read the book, so I quickly went to search for the pdf to download.
I found it, downloaded and opened it, just browse through (just to browse through ooo, that's like read the 1st few pages to see if it will be worth my while) but somehow I ended up reading the whole book and only took a break one time (which led to sleeping) to rest my eyes.

Anyway, amongst the plenty lessons I learnt, there was one very prominent one.
It says "Where your heart is, there your treasure is OR where your treasure is, there your heart will be" { Matt 6:21, luke 12:34}

I was Born with Sickle cell Anaemia and Still My Dad disowned me because I converted to Christainity.

My name is Hammed Ajiboye. I'm a Christian from a Muslim home. A writer, a reader and learner and this is my story:

My conversion to Christianity wasn't a knee jerk reaction. I had always wanted
to be a Christian. What I read in the Bible touched my heart and soul. The story of God's unending love for humanity, salvation and me as a person.

The various stories of healing I read touched the dusty chords of my heart. I desperately wanted healing. Wanted to be free. I had been born with sickle cell, a terrible life threatening, blood zapping condition that has no cure. It was a life of pain. The only way to beat the condition is through meticulous management, prevention of crisis and avoidance of complications.
For me, however, I wanted total healing, not management.

What are you leaving behind?

About a year ago, I met someone. I didn't like her at first, infact I hated seeing her - probably because then it felt like she had come to steal my friends away from me hehe! #memories (Story for another time tho) but with time we got close and I discovered how amazing she is.
Now, I love her to bits, to the stars and beyond, I love her way beyond this life (no homo o!).
She's been a great friend. She's been a confidant, She's been a Sister.
I didn't know I'd ever become close to someone as I am to her today, I've told her things, done things with her that I never thought I would.

But today she travelled (a 24hour flight) to another continent, to a country with 9hours difference in time with ours - Nigeria.

Battle against Shyness

Everyone has something they struggle with, Some low self esteem, others shyness, lack of self control, etcetera etcetera and these things if not dealt with would limit us a lot and make us lose some valuable opportunities. Aby Of http://misspurpleheart.com has had to battle with her's which is shyness and even though she's still a work in progress, she wrote something about it, hoping that it will inspire and help someone out there.
ENJOY :D
...........

I know there are a lot of people on a constant struggle with shyness, i know because i used to be one of them and i haven't even completely defeated it! You know what sucks? shyness comes with a load of self doubt and lack of self confidence; you don't want to say something to someone cause you don't know what they'll think, you don't want to do something you love
because you're not sure its good enough or you'll do it well enough...well let me tell you something...all that is BOLLOCKS!

Answer me this...

Life is A Process

I have lived just about 18 years on earth but I have experienced a lot - Good and BAD alike.
In all though, God has taught me that LIFE IS A PROCESS and that there's a lesson in everything (and a reason for everything).
I have come to realise that everything I have had to go through has been for a reason.
I know now, that my issues hasn't just been for me to deal with something but for me to GET something out of it FOR TOMORROW.

Life is a Journey.
Life is a Process.
Life is in Stages.
Life is full of Lessons.
Life is about experiences.
MY LIFE is for a Reason.

God is amazing.
He makes us (makes me) Go through ish's because he knows we need the experiences to be able to deal and handle our Tomorrow.
I'm certain now that, .it is not just Is.
I know now, that I am what I am today because of what I went through (Good and Bad) Yesterday. I would be what I would be tomorrow because of what I'm going through today.

Hey people, you going through an Ish today?
You dealing with this serious issue today?
You feel like you shouldn't have to be this and that? That you shouldn't have to be the one dealing with it all?
You going crazy because you feel it is too much for you to handle?
RELAX!
BE STILL!

HE is still GOD, from everlasting to everlasting and so, He'd see you through it.

Relax love, you'd come out of it STRONGER. Your story, your issues would Bless and help People.
You are going through it because God knows you can handle it.
Big challenges birth Great conquerors...

This issue, That issue Is a stepping stone. It is taking you to that next level.

Relax! God is not going to live you stranded.

This is a preparatory stage.

The bigger your challenges, issues and obstacles, The bigger your success and greatness.
Not everyone can successfully handle what you have handled, Not everyone is capable of your insight and strength and faith.
Not everyone is FIT for your issues.

You have this things to deal with because YOu can handle it, because of where YOU are going.

Relax and get as much lessons as you can.
God is with you all through.
