Mental slavery

"Emancipate yourself from mental slavery... none but ourselves can free our mind"

I heard that quote and my mind took a paradigm shift. It sunk so deep and resonated so well within me that I Cant forget what that exact moment looked and felt like.

That day, i realised we limit ourselves,  we set boundaries when there actually isnt any boundary. We hold our minds in captivity, allow what the world says to be our guide and 'think as think we should'. Most of us are held captive as mental slaves. We never allow ourselves to dream or look beyond the ordinary.  We see only the obstacles and not the possibilities. We allow our situations determine us, we allow people think for us, we become solely the product of influence. We never allow ourselves look within us, break free of all 'limitations' and create our own fate/reality.

Alot of us are consumed with negative thoughts, we don't believe we could amount to anything,  we don't allow ourselves feel confident in our gifts and dreams. We allow the negative words of people take root deep within us.
But I have learnt that only us can break us free of negative thoughts. We alone can emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. The responsibility to break out, take our lives in our hands and create our reality is ours.
The Bible says 'As a man thinketh so he is'...
We become whatever goes on in our minds. We think, begin to believe it and then become it.

Today I urge you to channel your mind to positivity and possibilities.

God has given us the gift of dreams and choices. All you have to do is dream it, believe it and choose/make decisions that will help you achieve it. There's nothing you cant be. You can do anything (good or bad).

Your life is in your hand. God guides but ultimately you choose.

IMPORTANT: Have you ever felt overwhelmed by a position or responsibility.  Have you ever felt your 'purpose' or duty or responsibility is bigger than you? Do you ever feel not good or strong enough? Do you sometimes want to drop the work and just do nothing because it feels too big (even though you know deep within you that you are capable?).
