JAM Summit '14

About a year ago, My campus fellowship in
school was preparing to travel to Lagos for a program called JAM summit (a camp where the campus family of Church of God Mission Int'l in Nigeria, leave their various campuses and come together to fellowship) but while everyone was preparing for the summit, I was relatively indifferent about it. Thing is, it hadn't been long since I joined the fellowship and so I couldn't relate with the euphoria that aroused whenever the term JAM SUMMIT was mentioned in church.
March 27th 2013, the Departure day came. I escorted my friend to the park where the bus was waiting for them, and even as I saw the Joy in the faces of those leaving for the program, I still didn't get it.
Later that evening, I went on twitter and my TL was spammed with tweets about arrival day at JAM summit '13.

"uhmmmmmmm, so what?" I thought and then moved on to something 'more interesting' but by afternoon the next day when the program had fully begun, I almost wept - My friends in my fellowship where giving gist and twitter wasn't making it better and by the time I tuned in to the live streaming "aaaaaaahhhhhhh" I CRIED!
I regretted not paying action to the whole saga and so, I vowed I'd go for next years'.
You wondering why?
It was because the WORD was taught in earnest there, Music was there, DRAMA? DANCE? Everything done excellently well.
Students got back to school changed, people met God, experienced His presence and a lot where stirred to do something. The testimonies were AWESOME!
Let's not forget the Joy found when in fellowship with God and young agile God loving people. I can imagine the amount of networking I'd have done - You know, meet some really creative, young, smart, God-loving Guys... I mean Youths ;) heheh!.
BUT GUESS WHAT!?
JAM summit 2014 is here and I ain't missing it for anything.
I can't allow myself go through that horrible experience of hearing the 'gist', like it wouldn't just be fair to weep for not going last year and weep again this year.
And so, me being the nice person I am *wink* I have chosen to tell you/invite you too.
I'd probably do a couple of blog posts on the experience but I can BET that reading it wouldn't be as Fun plus you'd probably throw away your device before you finish reading, in anger that you didn't go. ;)
Sweets, don't miss out, I beg!
You don't even have to be a member of Christian Fellowship international {CFI} or a CGMi member to attend.
Heck! You don't even have to be a student. So please clear your schedule and come!
The THEME for this year's summit is .................*drum roll please*
MISSION A1:8 ...Commissioned and Empowered..
I don't know about you o, but this one sounds LOADED!!! Like, It is strong -
COMMISSIONED and EMPOWERED!!!!
And it is holding at the Main Auditorium of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State between the 16th and 20th of April 2014.
The program would have two main sessions - Morning session by 8am and
Evening session by 4pm.
In between the sessions, would be special ADVANTAGE sessions on Leadership and governance, Education, Business, Arts, Entertainment and Media. (You see, it won't just be Church all through, there would be time to interact and learn a couple of things in your area of utmost interest).
Uhm, there's this thing that takes place on the last night of the program, it is called JAM EXPERIENCE.
JAM experience is a music concert, the best of the best music acts in Nigeria are usually invited. This year, it is holding on the 20th of April 2014 (Easter Sunday) by 5pm (Red carpet begins at 4pm) and some of the guest artist performing are:
Freke; Pita; Footprint 5; Buchi D' Comedian; Danny D' Humorous; IBK Spaceship boi;Joimor; D' Comperes; DJ Mow Gospel
and lots more (this is not to be missed!!!)
Wait! I haven't mentioned the Guest Speakers, that is the people that will impact us with wisdom. They are:
Bishop Feb Idahosa, Rev Wale Ajayi, Moyo Akin ojo; Rev Mrs Biobele Ihueze, Rev Osas Obarisagbon; Rev Ifoghale Efeturi; Rev Tari-Hudson Ekiyor; Rev Tijani Jimoh; Samuel Obafemi; Deaconess Nosa Aladeselu; Mr Stanley Ohikhuare; Pastor Chiemezie Ofodum (Host) and Archbishop Margaret Idahosa (Chief Host)
I'm sure by now you get the whole point?- JAM summit is one program no youth should miss (I'm not just saying o! It's for real).
I'm really expectant, I believe God is going to reveal himself deeper to me, I know I'd experience God in a different dimension. This would be my first live experience of JAM Summit and I'm sooooooo excited! (When you get there, you'd understand.)
PS: JAM summit means Jesus And Me summit.
Yess oooooo! - It is going to be about Jesus and YOU (yes YOU!), a personalized something, individualistic experiences - You would find yourself alone with Christ amongst the crowd (sounds cool yea?)
See you there!
