Procrastination is when you put off
things that you should be focusing on right now,usually in favour of doing something that is more enjoyable or that you're more comfortable doing.
I think procrastination is the most common bad habit of all time.
Everybody at one point in time says "I'd do it later".
WHY YOU SHOULDN'T PROCASTINATE
But just as it is the most common bad habit, so is it one of the deadliest bad habits.
Yes! Procrastination steals, it kills.
The more we put off things for later, the more cumbersome it becomes and when we do get up later and see the pile, we go like "oh! Let me do the easier once first, I'd do this later" and them it becomes more and more cumbersome, eventually you'd either leave it undone or start then don't finish, hence reducing your integrity level.
Procrastination can hinder you from achieving your goal, from having the life of your dreams.
Procrastination would make you tagged "unreliable", you'd lose trust, eventually you'd lose people and resources.
Procrastination would make you a lazy, unhappy failure at the end.
HOW TO BEAT PROCASTINATION
.Accept that you are a procrastinator
.Decide that you want to change the habit
.Figure out your pattern and then ask yourself WHY. Do you procrastinate when job looks unpleasant? Or when it's looks harder and more than the others? And find ways to beat that pattern.
GENERAL TIPS
.Make a To-Do list and STICK with it.
~Divide you work load into bits, the smaller it looks, the easier it'll look to handle.
~The bigger the task, the earlier it should come on your list.
~Do the unpleasant tasks 1st, so you'd have time to do the enjoyable ones.
