Twale

Listening to the song Twale today by Flo, I realized that Flo used the
special abilities of animals and man to want to glorify God (i.e. The
roaring of Lions, the ability of eagles to fly really high and well,
the shining ability of the sun, the excited screams of children, the
illumination ability of the stars etc) and then it hit me; we are
supposed to use our works - 'our talents, abilities, and gifts' - to
glorify and worship God.

The bible says "Let your light so shine that people would see your
'good' works and give glory to your Father that is in Heaven"

Our special abilities, our gifts are not for fancy, there are to bring
glory to our Father in Heaven and as believer's we are not expected to
do anyhow works - I take the 'good works' in that bible verse to mean
brilliant, amazing, super creative, wowing works.
Just as God expects us to use our gifts and talents, so also He
expects that we use them the best way - He expects us to be the best,
He expects us to be the most creative. I believe God detest mediocrity
or anything less than the Best (not necessarily perfect but really
really really Good - the best of our abilities).
I believe God wants us to work hard - not to rely on our efforts but
to do our best as we look up to His grace to do the rest and perfect
what we have done.

God wants people to see you use your gifts and say 'Wow, Praise God.
This is amazing'.
God wants people to read your blog or your writeup or magazine and
worship him. He wants people to hear your song, or just hear/see you
lead praise/worship and give him glory for choosing to use little you.
He wants people to watch your movie and say 'God, thank You for giving
someone this idea/inspiration'.

All I'm saying is, Please worship God with your deeds and not just in
songs. Worship God by using your gifts. Worship God by blessing and
inspiring people.

I believe that Believers are meant to be Pace setters. We are of a
different status (in this world but not of the world, kids of the
maker of the universe), hence we got to act it. We should be the best
in all areas. We should be the leaders, the teachers, the example.

Whatever you do that's beautiful, amazing, creative, inspiring, gives
glory to God.
When you bless others, help, inspire others, God takes Glory
(Truth is you don't need to mention God's name i.e. Make it
spiritualized 1st before God can take glory. Nah! I believe that as
Long as you have Jesus in your heart and you do 'good', whilst looking
up to his grace to add finishing touches to whatever it is you do,
then God can take Glory. Whatever can help another, whatever can make
someone smile, whatever can get someone to appreciate God's creation
is capable of making God smile).

So dear, this is a call for you to Step out and Step up. Stir up the
Fire within you. Use that, that you have been blessed with. Give from
what you have (material and otherwise), Teach, Just Do something,
Start something and always remember that it is the Grace of God and
not your hard work, it is with the Help of God and not your efforts
that maketh Great.
Don't ever rely on your strength, God is with you, live with that consciousness.
